    Job Description:

    Alfred State College has an opening for a Welding Instructor at the Northland Workforce Training Center in Buffalo NY, to start January 2024.

    The Candidate will able to present well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus and school policies.
    Welding Faculty position will have knowledge in all welding processes, along with Blueprint reading and Welders Calculations.
    Candidate will perform in both a lecture and laboratory format. Pipe welding or structural steel a plus. CWE/CWI certification preferred or willing to acquire CWE/CWI Certification.
    Provide the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects and maintain accurate records of student academic and attendance performance.

    Continually promote students development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making


    Requirements:

    Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree along with 5 years of hands-on Welding Technology employment

    OR

    7 years minimum employment in Welding Technology required for consideration.

    CWI certification is not required for hire but must be willing to obtain after you are hired.

    The salary range for this position begins at $52,500 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
