Laboratory Procurement Specialist - Fremont, United States - UL Solutions

JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is fully onsite Monday-Friday at our Fremont, CA facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responds to user requests to procure items for use in the laboratory such as materials/supplies, test equipment, services, etc.
• May be required to hand-deliver purchased items to various laboratories throughout the buildings.
• Interface with finance departments such as Sourcing, Payables, etc.
• May be responsible for the management of various vendor accounts.
• Assists in developing annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for laboratory equipment, and tactical plans for the assigned laboratory section.
• Operates a computer to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
• Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or similar preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively adapt actions through preparation and contingency plans.
• Communicates effectively in written and oral form.
• Ability to work with internal and external teams.
• Follows instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Is a highly trusted, direct, and truthful individual.
• Ability to compose routine reports and business correspondence.

• Total Rewards: .The salary range for this position is $59,000.00-$78,700.00 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. UL offers a generous 401k matching structure of up to 5% of eligible pay. Additionally, we invest an additional 4% into your retirement saving fund after your first year of continuous employment. We provide Healthcare Reimbursement Accounts and Health Savings Accounts that UL contributes to twice per year Depending on your role, you can work with your manager on flexible working arrangements. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation, holiday, sick and volunteer time off.
