We are looking for a talented Senior Acquisition Analyst who is familiar with NAVAIR Acquisition Processes and has experience with DoD Instruction

    The Senior Acquisition Analyst will work closely with both the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) Program and the Hypersonic Air Launched Offensive Anti-Surface Weapon (HALO) program and will work with Integrated Program Team Leaders (IPTLs), engineers and other analysts in the production and development efforts of LRASM development of HALO.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain knowledge and awareness of all statutory and regulatory acquisition documentation requirements.
    • Possess knowledge and awareness of DoD 5000 guidance and milestone requirements for ACAT Level programs (ACAT 1 desired. Knowledge of Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) and NAVAIR Acquisition Policies and Procedures.

    • Review, research, track, and assist in development of acquisition documentation and threshold procedures, to include but not limited to: Streamlined Acquisition Plans (PSTRAPs), Justification and Approvals (J&As), thresholds, Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs).
    • Assist in internal and external communications, including coordinating response for the PMA, PEO, ASN, OSD, OPNAV, Congress and the media.
    • Assist with developing, coordinating, and staffing all required acquisition reporting documents including Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR), Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES) and ASN(RD&A) Information System (RDAIS) inputs to support monthly and/or quarterly submissions, audits, reviews, and milestone decisions.
    • Plan, develop, coordinate and staff of all the acquisition documentation including Justification & Approvals (J&As), Determination and Findings (D&Fs), Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, and Procurement Initiation Document (PID) packages.
    • Manage the FXDO processes related to Procurement Management Tool, PID routing, and related tasks of the FXDO and will participate in/lead Procurement Planning Conferences, Data Requirements Review Board, and other acquisition/contracts related meetings as required.
    • Provide support and advice to the FXDO IPTLs and Leadership to ensure continuity between the FXDO and PMA management on all acquisition documentation and reporting processes and procedures. The incumbent will initiate, coordinate completion, track, update and report status of CPARs as required.
    • Coordinate acquisition documentation, events, and meetings leading to critical milestone decisions associated with the program.
    • Coordinate the activities of one or more contractor support service personnel in meeting the requirements of the FXDO acquisition processes.
    Requirements
    • BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university
    • 6+ years of recent and relevant experience
    Skills and Experience:
    • Experience with Naval Air Systems Command Acquisition Processes/DoDI
    • Highly motivated and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
    • Team-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a constructive manner, and produce quality products efficiently.
