    The Job Description:



    This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated educators and make a meaningful impact on the lives of high school students. As a Visual Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging visual arts instruction across multiple media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.



    • You will design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that build technical skills, artistic voice, and creative risk-taking.
    • You will develop coursework that supports portfolio development and prepares students for advanced study or postsecondary pathways in the arts.


    Our ideal candidate possesses strong academic expertise in early childhood education with a demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools. Prior teaching experience (1-2 years) is preferred but not required. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory. Additionally, a commitment to continuously improving curriculum through collaboration as part of a grade-level team aligns perfectly with Uncommon Schools' vision.
