- Prepares monthly financial reports and identifies discrepancies and potential problems.
- Coordinates and analyzes departmental financial data and makes necessary recommendations to ensure expenditures are properly reported.
- Assists in the preparation of annual budgets for all programs and funds.
- Assists in drafting policies and procedures related to handling and processing of funds.
- Handles all audits of financial data, programs, and funds, including answering data questions, meeting with auditors, and resolving audit issues.
- Develops and improves needed financial record keeping systems and controls.
- Oversees and ensures compliance with Minimum Accounting Standards for all personnel.
- Approves purchase requests and invoices, and monitors line-item expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance.

Major Duties, Responsibilities
Education:
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, to include two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis.

Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
