    Village Transport is a sister company of Village Travel.

    Village Travel, established in 1980, boasts a fleet of over 190 motorcoaches across 8 locations in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

    Village Transport was established in October of 2020 and continues to grow each year. At Village Transport we are not your average carrier. We haul production and sound equipment for musicians, comedians, trade shows and much more.

    If you've ever desired to haul tour show equipment all over the US and Canada, we can help make that a reality We know how hard it is when you're on tour with bands or trade shows, or just hauling freight.

    We care about your quality of life on the road.

    This is why all of our OTR trucks are equipped with an APU, smart TV, microwave, refrigerators, and free satellite radio.

    Our drivers are given extensive support by dispatch, and we understand the need for time off at home. We do, however, realize flexibility is the key to success.


    Job Description:
    The Village Transport Driver is a full-time over-the-road truck driving position that requires extensive travel.

    We expect drivers to work out of their assigned truck a minimum of 12 consecutive days while hauling general freight.

    Drivers on tour with entertainers must stay for the duration of the tour.


    Job Type:
    Full-time

    Pay:
    From $.50/mile with performance bonuses.

    We offer many benefits to include medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, as well as a generous 401k match Duties/Responsibilities: · Available to drive day or night up to maximum legal Hours of Service during assigned shifts.


    • Available to stay out a minimum of 12 days with 3 days off unless on tour.
    • Provide flexibility – Assigned jobs can change frequently, so ideal candidates for this position will understand the schedule may change, but the company will be dependable in getting drivers home for breaks as promised.
    • Complies with local traffic regulations and applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Reports delays or accidents immediately.
    • Inspects truck and trailer as required per FMCSA rules and company policies.
    • Fuels truck when needed and cleans truck when necessary.
    • Reads schedules and itineraries, interprets maps, processes accident and incident reports, and prepares all necessary company paperwork (including DVIRs, Log Sheets, Work tickets).
    • Possess a smart phone and be willing to learn how to effectively use all apps required to perform job.
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    Required Qualifications:

    • Be at least 25 years old.
    • Must have a minimum of 2-year tractor trailer experience.
    • Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
    • US citizen or permanent Visa.
    • Possess a valid US Passport.
    • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License without an air brake restriction.
    • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
    • Pass a DOT physical given by a physician certified on the FMCSA National Registry and approved by the Company.
    • Must have an acceptable driving record (MVR): Have no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months.
    • Have no more than 1 minor accident within the last 3 years.
    • Have no major accidents, no reckless driving charges, no DUI's, and no DWI's.
    • Have no suspensions or revocations within the last 10 years.
    • Must pass company provided road test

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions/responsibilities.
    • Must have ability to walk, stand, sit, talk, hear, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and grasp.
    • Must be able to lift and handle equipment up to 50lbs as necessary.
