    Summary You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the TEST AND EVALUATION MANAGMENT DIVISION, COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST AND EVALUATION DEPTARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

    Responsibilities You will serve as the C40 Division Test and Evaluation Lead and will be responsible for leading department efforts in major shipboard and land-based test events of Navy combat systems and weapon systems.

    You will serve as a senior expert on all technical aspects of Combat System and Weapon Systems testing; from planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.

    You will serve as a lead for Port Hueneme Division's Aegis testing working directly with Test and Evaluation Leads and Technical Project Managers for Ballistic Missile System, DDG 1000, FFG, and Coast Guard programs.

    You will develop common processes, training of personnel across programs, and lead PHD changes to support Integrated Combat Systems across Large Surface Combatants.

    You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and quality of C40 Test and Evaluation products and services existing and new programs.

    You will represent the organization in internal and external collaboration in order to develop solutions and accomplish program and command goals.

    You will lead project teams, establish goals, plan and assign work in coordination with branch managers, and track progress to meet deadlines.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    leading teams and managing systems engineering projects to test and evaluate shipboard combat and weapon systems for a warfare program.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

    PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
