Lab Technician 1

The Volatiles Screener performs the screening of samples for VOA organic analysis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to sample analysis, review of analytical data and the troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical instrumentation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meet customer turn-around-time and quality objectives.

2. Preparation of samples for screening and analysis.

3. Instrument operation.

4. Support the Company's Lean / Six Sigma initiative; Active LEAN participant.

5. Adhere to established Health & Safety protocols.

6. Develop improved techniques with Lab Coordinator,

Team Leader or Manager Secondary Duties:

1. ZHE preparation and maintenance

2. May stock and order supplies as needed.

3. Maintain and promote clean work area(s).

4. Assist other laboratory departments as needed.

Minimum Required Skills:

1. Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including the proper procedures in handling chemicals and unknown environmental samples.

2. Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills.
