Job Description:
Seeking a Scrum Master with experience in full life-cycle software development following Agile processes. Position will require management of new development, O&M, and end-of-life projects.
Position will be responsible for oversight of all deliverables on the project as well as conducting all sprint ceremonies including daily scrum, sprint pre-planning, planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
This role on the project is responsible for performing story analysis, managing the evolution of the User Story and other backlog items, answering ad hoc questions and providing clarification/direction to development and support teams regarding user stories and functions.
Position will collaborate with the Product Owner and Team in release planning (including but not limited to preparing user documentation and conducting Release Demos) as well as facilitation of Quarterly Planning preparation including coordinating with the integrated teams regarding dependencies.
Required Skills:6+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree is required. Commensurate experience for education.
2+ years of professional experience as a Scrum Master
Experience with initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering IT projects
Experience with Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies: managing and facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, mid- sprint reviews, sprint demos, and retrospectives
Experience with reviewing story analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and the impact to other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams have been outlined
Experience in managing the evolution of the User Story and other backlog items (includes but not limited to breaking down the stories, eliciting conversations, facilitating story refinement sessions)
Knowledge of Software Development Agile Frameworks, including Scaled Agile, Scrum and Kanban
Ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Business Partners, developers and Architects to build and define the Product Backlogs and complete release planning
Ability to answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification/direction to development, test, and support teams regarding user stories and functions
Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workgroups
Ability to take accountability for all work product, ensuring excellence and integrity in every task undertaken
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on SharePoint
Preferred Skills:
4+ years project management experience
Experience in facilitating development and troubleshooting sessions with a team
Experience in working with teams to de-centralize decision-making and acting as an escalation point when consensus decisions cannot be reached
Experience in requirements gathering, development of wireframes, user stories and acceptance criteria
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Knowledge of development lifecycle
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and customer relationship management
Salary Range:
$105,000 - $120,000 per year
