    Job DescriptionFamily Transitions, Inc is actively seeking a part-time hourly/ or 1099 contract employee to serve in the role of Assessment Clinician. The Assessment Clinician will be a LMHP (LCSW, LPC, LMHP-R, LMHP-S) who performs initial assessments, makes diagnoses, and completes all admissions paperwork.

    The LMHP (LCSW, LPC, LMHP-R, LMHP-S) is required to maintain high quality clinical documentation, completed in a timely manner and consistent with policies outlined in company policy and licensure requirements. The preferred applicant will be someone that is very capable and willing as it relates to completing assessments timely, proficient and in professional manner. Furthermore, the preferred candidate will be someone who is very organized, very attentive to details as it relates to documentation, very responsive to questions or concerns from the main office and also understands and complies with dates of expected completion as it relates to client paperwork and the desires of insurance companies.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    · The LMHP (LCSW, LPC, LMHP-R, LMHP-S) is responsible for making diagnoses and assisting the caseworkers in maintaining safe and therapeutic practices.

    · Responsible for staying in continuous contact with immediate supervisor and office manager about he/she availability to complete intake assessments.

    · Performs initial assessment, makes diagnoses and writing initial Individual Service Plans.

    · Responsible for the completion of other intake documents to include all program release of information, program orientations, and other documents as needed. Also responsible for the completion of the service authorization within 3 days of completing the clinical assessment.

    · Responsible for communicating the needs of the client to the clinical director and the office manager to ensure that information is included in the treatment process.

    · Assists caseworkers in planning and implementing Individual Service Plans as needed.

    · Reviews clinical files to ensure compliance with all regulations.

    · Provides individual and family therapy, as needed.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Required Education:

    · MUST possess master's degree in social work or a counseling/mental health related field.

    Required Experience:

    · Minimum of two years working with adolescent and family issues.

    · Supervisory or leadership experience in the mental health field preferred.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    · Communication The LMHP (LCSW, LPC, LMHP-R, LMHP-S) will communicate effectively, in writing and orally, to program director and caseworker to maintain appropriate clinical records and for supervision purposes.

    · Interpersonal Communication This position is in continuous contact with individuals, other staff, and members in planning and providing individual services. Ability to appropriately relate to a variety of individual and family personality types requiring use of judgment and discretion.

    · Knowledge of TOVA Knowledge of Therapeutic Options of Virginia.

    · Demonstrated skill in treating individuals and families and excellent knowledge of therapeutic interventions for individuals and families.

    · Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals and staff.

    · Demonstrated ability to teach the skill of clinical assessments and interventions.

    · Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical skills of caseworkers and clinical supervisors.

    Required Licensure:

    · Assessment Clinician must be licensed by the state of Virginia in one of the following areas: LCSW, LPC or LMHP or a supervisee/resident pursuing a licensure as an LPC or LCSW.

    · Must meet VDBHDS/DMAS criteria to qualify as a LCSW, LPC or LMHP or a supervisee/resident pursuing a licensure as an LPC or LCSW.

    · Valid state driver's license and driving record in good standing with the DMV.

    · Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training certification or must be obtained within 14 business days of employment.

    · Current standard First Aid & AED training certification or must be obtained within 14 business days of employment.

    Current non-violent crisis intervention (TOVA) certification - minimum 8 hours or must be obtained within 14 business days of employment

    Job Types: Contract, Part-time

    Salary: $ $35.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 6 – 18 per week
