    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Procurement 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization. This leadership role is located in Melbourne, FL.

    The selected candidate will lead a team of approximately 7-10 Procurement Specialists in Melbourne, FL responsible for supporting a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to their team based on goals, objectives and company policy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

    This position is hybrid and must have the ability to work on site at the Melbourne, FL location.

    Essential Functions:

    Leading a team who will be responsible for the following essential functions:
    • Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization
    • Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
    • Compile information to stay informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
    • Confers with suppliers to analyze supplier operations, and to determine factors that affect price, the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and the ability to meet required schedules
    • Review proposals, negotiates prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, as well as maintaining necessary records
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years' experience in Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Subcontracts Management, Business Management, and/or related fields; or a Master's Degree with at least 2 years' of experience in Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Subcontracts Management, Business Management, and/or related fields; or a High School Diploma/equivalent with at least 8 years' of experience in Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Subcontracts Management, Business Management, and/or related fields
    • Experience leading a team, process, project or function
    • Experience with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business
    • Experience managing procurement teams
    • Solid understanding of SAP and metric analysis
    • Strong organization, attention to detail and leadership characteristics

    Salary Range: $108, $162,600.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
