    The Sales Manager
    • Natural Channel, is a key contributor to our long term strategy and is responsible for profitable business growth of distributors and retailers within the Natural Channel, including UNFI, KeHe, Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme and more across all SCJ Lifestyle Brands and Categories.
    This role is responsible for managing broker partners that support the Customer HQ in addition to the downstream independent natural retailers.

    The Sales Manager will have the opportunity to grow through a variety of experiences and a general management approach to the business.

    The Sales Manager will have a significant amount of freedom to demonstrate leadership, high-impact decision making, strategic planning and customer relationship management.


    Please note:
    This is a Home Office-based role.

    Ideal candidate will live ideally near Austin, TX OR Rhode Island OR Chicago, IL with the ability to travel to attend customer calls.


    The Sales Manager will:


    Have a significant influence and require a high level of leadership, high-impact analytics, strategic planning, and customer relationship managementRetail Partner + Broker ManagementLead Annual Planning, JBP, Trade Management, buyer meetings, relationship mgmt.

    Lead Broker resource management for Natural Channel Distributor and RetailersCreate and drive merchandising plan aligning with internal customer development team in coordination with category merchantsSupport Sr Director of Alt Channels with Senior Relationship engagementData Analysis + Sales PresentationsAnalytic leadership for all buyer meetingsPull internal data and or retail POS dataWeekly / Monthly POS reportingNew Item & Seasonal TrackingPrice AnalysisCompetitive Intel & Line Listing UpdatesDeduction managementForecasting + PlanningDay to Day questions on trendsPromo Planning/AnalysisExceedra trade managementOtherSocial / Online salesLeverage cross functional support team to achieve volume, share & other objectives (Cat Man, Shopper Marketing, Customer Development, Finance)

    Partner with director to advance omni strategy at to unlock additional pickup/delivery opportunities at Whole FoodsQUALIFICATIONSRequired:
    Education: Bachelor's Degree7+ years' experience in CPG Sales

    Preferred Skills:

    General Management mindset; proven ownership approach to businessSuccess in applying insights into business developmentStrong technical skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Web and other required computer applicationsAbility to manage budgets and overall trade managementExperience calling on the Natural Channel Retailers like Whole Foods or other relevant customer experienceStrong analytical skills.
