    School Registered Nurse (RN) Blue Island, IL

    A School Registered Nurse (RN) position has opened in our school district. We are currently sourcing for candidates who are interested in the following setting for the school year. You will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and wellness of our students and staff while ensuring a positive and healthy school environment.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Nurse. In this role, you will serve the entire school building, providing essential health services and promoting the well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will have previous school-based nursing experience, and a passion for supporting the health and safety of students in a high school setting.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
    • Must have IllinoisRN/Compact License
    • Must be CPR and BLS certified
    • Previous experience in school setting required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff as needed, including assessment, first aid, and emergency response.
    • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
    • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
    • Respond to health-related emergencies and provide appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
    • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and other staff members to promote a healthy and safe school environment.
    • Educate students and staff on health-related topics and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.
