Position Summary:
The Brennan School of Business at Dominican University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty Member to teach the following courses:

Accounting 10- Managerial Accounting (Fall and Spring)
Accounting 31- Income Taxation of Individuals (Fall)
Accounting 41- Accounting Information Systems (Fall)
Accounting 20- Introduction to Data Analytics in Accounting (Spring)
Accounting 31- Intermediate Financial Accounting II (Spring)
Accounting 41- Auditing (Spring)
Accounting 60- Accounting for Managers (Spring)
Accounting 70- Accounting Data Analytics and Visualization (Spring)
Accounting 71- Federal Taxation of Individuals (Spring)
Accounting 71- Audit and Assurance Services (Spring)

Accounting 102 is a required course for all business majors. Accounting 201, 311, 312, 411, and 412 are required courses for the accounting majors. Accounting 604 is a required MBA course. Accounting 701, 711, and 716 are required courses in the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program. All courses are offered in- person and online; however, online courses have face-to-face requirements. The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicagoland area to work with students in a face-to-face environment.

The adjunct faculty member may work with senior accounting faculty to examine current teaching materials, cases, and software specific to this course.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Master's degree in Accounting, or a PhD with an emphasis in accounting
Licensed or registered CPA, CMA

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 5 years of business-related work experience in accounting
At least 2 years of demonstrated teaching experience (experience with Canvas Learning Management System preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Access to personal technology and the ability to teach virtually (asynchronously or synchronously)

Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty are responsible for the following:

Adhering to the university policies, procedures, and university calendar with respect to reporting information to university offices
Administering student evaluation, timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction, including grades and course evaluations
Grading weekly assignments, responding to student emails and phone calls promptly and providing feedback in a timely manner.
Preparing course materials, including writing test questions and delivering assignments appropriate to subject matter
Meeting with students in-person or on Zoom and hosting office hours
Adhering to the goals and objectives of the course, including delivery of assessments to the Department Chair and senior faculty in accounting
