Job Description...We are hiring a senior AWS developer with strong AWS cloud & Java experience.
Seeking an accomplished AWS cloud engineer with experience in cloud-based tech with a firm understanding on cutting-edge technologies, platforms, and applications.
Job duties:
Migrate on-prem Java web applications to AWS platform.
Designs, develops, modifies, debugs, deploys, and evaluates complex AWS/Java applications.
Development using various AWS services, including API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, Athena/Glue and CloudFront.
Produce cost-effective, reusable, efficient, and scalable programs in an Infrastructure as Code paradigm.
Work jointly with the IT team and other departments to migrate web applications to AWS.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience in IT, with a focus on AWS and Java development. Python and/or Node experience a plus.
Experience using Docker.
Deep experience with AWS services:
VPC, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, Glue, QuickSight, CodePipeline and ECS/Fargate.
Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK (Cloud Development Kit) and Terraform.
Experienced in architecting serverless solutions using AWS cloud services.
Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.
Ability to perform source code management and application build and deployment using tools like Git, Maven, Shell scripts and cloud-based build and deployment pipelines (CICD)
Knowledgeable in SQL and DDL in SQLServer, DB2, and Postgres database platforms.
Experience in writing advanced SQL queries.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and translate complex business rules into technical designs.
Ability to work independently on complex technical projects as well as on a team of technical professionals. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to learn effectively and meet deadlines.*//
