- Install a wide range of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units, in commercial settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine equipment specifications and installation requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute HVAC installations effectively.
- Assemble and connect components such as compressors, motors, ducts, pipes, and communication wiring in accordance with design specifications and local/state building codes.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment for potential issues, and make necessary adjustments or repairs during the installation process.
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality, including temperature and humidity control, air distribution, and overall performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns, explaining system operations, and offering maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain accurate daily records of installed equipment, work performed, and materials used for each project.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself, fellow team members, and clients.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, technological innovations, and building codes related to HVAC systems and installations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Installer, with a demonstrated ability to handle commercial or residential projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills related to HVAC systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools necessary for HVAC installation.
- Working knowledge of local and state building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues during installations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, heights, and in confined spaces.
- EPA Universal certification for handling refrigerants is required.
- NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is a plus.
- OSHA10 certification is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Job DescriptionSalary: $37 - 43/hr DOEWilliams Plumbing in Missoula is looking for an experienced HVAC technician with a strong background in refrigeration and controls in supporting our new construction team. This position will work with a variety of HVAC systems in commercial new construction, warranty, remodels, and retrofits. It requires well-rounded installation abilities in HVAC equipment, refrigeration, controls, and light ductwork.
