Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a rapidly growing high-end custom design and builder in Rochester to recruit a Senior Accountant.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant reports to and is a key part of the finance team helping to create and develop the accounting functions for the company by assisting with month-end closing, including monthly reporting package and reconciliations. Managing and supporting key areas of the business, including the credit card platform.

The ideal candidate has experience within the construction and/or manufacturing industries. Self-starting and looking to grow with a company.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and preparing general ledger reconciliations monthly.
• Assisting with preparing timely and accurate financial packages monthly.
• Preparing multi-company balance sheet and income statement for reporting.
• Preparing ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Assisting with improving current month-end closing procedures.
• Managing and supporting credit card platforms, reconciliations and additional programs.
• Supporting annual review with external accountants.
• Overseeing inventory management.
• Supporting preparation of annual budget and forecasting.
• Collaborating with Operations enhancing results, optimizing system setups, and assisting with additional projects.
• Implementing departmental process improvements.
• Other tasks and projects assigned by the Controller.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5 or more years of proven experience with reporting, reconciliations, asset/inventory management, financial systems maintenance, and current or prior construction or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with all levels in the Company.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel and accounting software & ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to complete time sensitive requests, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
