    TheMiddle School General Secretary II (Attendance) position is a 210-day contract, effective beginning the school year.


    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Strong clerical/technical skills, ability to multitask
    • Working knowledge of basic office procedures
    • Strong communication and organization skills
    • Must provide current, clear BCI and FBI background check upon hire

    Reports To:
    Principal and Assistant Principal

    Job Goal:

    To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office, so that the office's maximum positive impact on students, parents, and community can be realized.

    Job Description includes, but is not limited to, the following sample of duties:


    • Promptly and courteously greet and assist all students and visitors (parents, community members, etc)
    • Answer and field phone calls
    • Assist parents and students with needs
    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change, in a fast-paced working environment
    • Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials
    • Maintain and coordinate distribution of student medications
    • Assist the building secretary and substitute if the secretary is absent
    • Office clerical duties - attendance, copying, distributing materials
    • Assist with coordination of events - including security, contracts, awards, scholarships, etc.
    • Maintain a good working relationship with other athletic departments
    • Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
    • Support other office staff and administration when requested
    • Serve as a positive support and liaison to students, parents, community members, and visitors
    • Support administration and other office staff when requested
    • Attend trainings and meetings as required
    • Assist with schedules and calendar for athletics to include the Big Walnut Middle School Athletic website
    • Assist with athletic transportation, officials, and opposing districts to organize and confirm events
    • Perform other duties as assigned by building administrator(s)
