Advanced Practice Provider II, Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery - Dallas

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will manage pediatric orthopedic injuries for a level 1 trauma center at Children's Medical Center, Dallas.
+Responsibilities
- Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
- Synthesizes data and utilizes evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care.
- Licensure as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing is required OR Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required AND Current Basic Life Support certified by American Heart Association or Red Cross is necessary AND Graduate education must be consistent with clinical practice area/patient population in an accredited program for advanced practice nursing/physician assistant degree OR Master's degree or higher in nursing/documented completion from an accredited advanced practice education program graduate education related to Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area/patient population in an accredited program for advanced nursing/physician assistant degree certification is needed OR Certified PALS/AHA or Red Cross certification through UT Southwestern policy on APPs are preferred qualifications.
