You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.

    Responsibilities:


    • Provide technical support to data center services and operations teams to define mechanical system design requirements for multiple and simultaneous DC projects from inception through completion.


    • Collaborate with core teams to develop, implement, and manage the data center (DC) mechanical designs at site starting from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issued for Construction (IFC) data center services documents for new DC projects build outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.


    • Respond to site specific engineering requests for information (RFI) in coordination with the engineer of record (EOR). Manage site bug process and coordinate with cross functional teams for technical support.


    • Own and manage all site level mechanical issues during the project execution phase. Maintain all DC related mechanical system design requirements and interface documents.


    • Support the commissioning team in development of documentation and testing procedures for each project.

    Minimum qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience


    • 8 years of experience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, domestic water systems, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical facility design and construction environment.

    Preferred qualifications:


    • Professional Engineering license


    • Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment


    • Experience establishing construction safety procedures.


    • Experience working on large-scale mission critical facility projects and their electrical / mechanical infrastructure.


    • Experience with CHP plant design and prime power systems


    • Prime Power systems
