summary Poway Manufacturing Co is seeking a SR Production Planner


Job duties:
1. Evaluate, approve, and schedule Customer Purchase Orders. 2. Schedule Production operations to support customer on time delivery to internal and external customers. 3. Issue Work Orders as required to support the Production schedule. Communicate daily with Production Manager, Supervisors, etc to ensure Production and on time delivery targets are met. 4.

Monitor raw material inventory levels and manages use; work to minimize excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory by periodically reviewing usage and safety stock calculations.

Adjust Production BOMs as necessary to utilize alternate components. 5.

Proactively report material availability issues, expedites any conflicts and provide timely resolution of such, including root cause analysis so as to prevent recurrence in the future 6.

Collaborate with sales and operations on long term planning of key raw materials and components. 7. Maintain essential planning master data.

Assist in the Planning and procurement of raw materials and components from global suppliers to meet inventory targets and production demands.

Education:
Four-year college degree in business or related field, or its equivalent experience. Experience in Inventory Control/Procurement/Production Planning functions; Prepreg Production experience highly desirable.

Previous experience in Prepreg Production may qualify in lieu of previous Planning/Inventory Control/Procurement experience CPIM or APICS certification highly desirable Work Experience: 5 plus years experience Inventory Control/Procurement/Production Planning functions; sales support highly desirable
