    The Village of Northbrook, Illinois (population 35,222), is a thriving, progressive community strategically located approximately 25 miles north of downtown Chicago.

    The Village of Northbrook's Finance Department is seeking qualified applicants for the newly created position of Management Analyst.

    Under the direction of the CFO, Deputy CFO, and Accounting Manager, this full-time position will be responsible for professional oversight, financial analysis, grant management, expenditure/revenue tracking, and serving as the backup for critical functions within the Finance Department.

    This position is ideal for the individual having a strong interest in municipal finance, the drive and desire to learn as well as gain well-rounded and comprehensive experience in the field of municipal finance leading to opportunities for future advancement in local government.

    Qualified applicants will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, with at least two to three years of experience working in a municipal setting in any role or capacity.

    The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and ERP system is required. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 DOQ.

    and the position includes a comprehensive benefit package including health and dental insurance, generous time off and a pension plan.

    The work schedule is primarily Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
