    Built on a legacy of quality and innovation, we are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our team and support our continued growth.
    This role, you will be involved in the planning and purchasing of key components and finished goods to support our supply chain and help keep our customers a little cooler.
    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Reviews & executes to MRP action messages to ensure no stock outs for manufacturing items and direct buy items.
    • Manage on-going supplier performance, including plan & flow of items to Igloo/customer.
    • Participate in sourcing, cost reduction, and inventory reduction initiatives.
    • MRP systems knowledge (Planning, Purchasing, Etc.) to maintain accurate MRP data for assigned items.
    • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and manage on going supplier performance & supplier improvement program.
    • Negotiate contracts/purchase orders with suppliers to ensure lowest total cost of ownership.
    • Manage projects and contribute to new product development.
    • Implement planning, logistics and inventory stocking strategies to improve instock performance while minimizing inventory and freight costs.
    • Expedites and tracks shipments as required.
    • Manage vendor quality issues and negotiates chargebacks, rework costs or shipment discounts as needed.
    • Create and maintain productive and supportive relationships internal clients and associates.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
    A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • English Language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
    • Physical Demands: General Office environment.
