    Job Description

    The Clinical Technician 2 provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Maintains competencies and seek opportunities to develop professionally. Communicates effectively and work cooperatively with others Serves as a unit preceptor and superuser for all new Clinical Technicians.

    Shift: 12 Hour Day

    Schedule: Full Time

    Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

    Job Responsibilities
    • Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
    • Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
    • Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
    • Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
    • Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
    • Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
    • Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
    • May perform additional duties as assigned.
    Requirements:
    • Experience: One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician and/or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program
    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association)
    • Training: Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire
    • Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required
