    Responsibilities

    Facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures.

    • Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
    • Hand necessary instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
    • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
    • Maintain organized instruments and monitor counts throughout procedures.
    • Help surgeons with hemostasis provision during surgery.

    Requirements

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    Education:

    • High School diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required.

    Additional Preferences

    • Previous Cardiothoracic experience preferred
