    Location/Division-Specific InformationLenexa, KS (Kansas City Metro) / Microbiology DivisionHow will you make an impact?We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help us improve our production processes and systems.

    You will be responsible for managing capital projects across different locations.

    You will also collaborate with other engineers, contractors, suppliers, and staff to ensure our manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental standards.

    To be successful as a Manufacturing Engineer, you should have experience in project management and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

    Due to the high visibility of this role, it will require very effective management and communication at multiple levels of the organization.

    Core ResponsibilitiesResponsible for day-to-day production supportDesigning and implementing manufacturing processes, including process flow, equipment, and tooling layouts.

    Collaborate with the maintenance, process, and operation teams to identify process improvements, analyze production data, and implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.evaluate and select appropriate equipment, machinery, and tooling for manufacturing processes.

    Responsible for managing capital projects across different Lenexa KS sitesLead multi-functional teams, including designers, software developers, and procurement, as well as directly leading technical installation teams at the customer sitesBalance project risk and uncertainty through risk management and mitigation plans.

    Develop financial business models to understand the total cost of ownership and revenue generation to support capital investment decisionsProvide status reports to senior management and proactively raise concerns when requiredEnsure the project budgets are maintained and quarterly revenue goals are metQualificationsA bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required4+ years of demonstrated project experience in a complex manufacturing environmentAbility to influence and inspire change while building solid relationships with our businesses and vendorsDemonstrated ability to implement process, system, and structure in a fast pace complex environmentDemonstrated ability to translate tactical business plans into strategic and operational plansWe offer a competitive salary, an annual incentive bonus plan, 401K with a company match up to 6%, tuition reimbursement, and a range of other employee benefits Review our company's Total RewardsOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
