    General Information:

    Job title: Director of Dialysis Care

    Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm

    Weekend rotation: As needed

    Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays

    Position Summary:

    The Director of Dialysis Care position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities relating to dialysis care and integrating them into the organization's overall care delivery system, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Maintain an organized Dialysis Department by providing quality care through ongoing assessments and improvements of the department's services.
    • Evaluate the quality of care delivered on a monthly basis, utilizing established standards of care.
    • Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating Dialysis Nursing Department activities while promoting professional growth and development of personnel and self.
    • Initiate the development of policies and procedures that govern services provided by the department. Ensure these are implemented by personnel and are up to date with all accrediting bodies to maintain compliance.
    • Participate and collaborate on department budget development. Evaluate quality and cost effectiveness of staffing, supplies, and services within the goals of the organization while maintaining compliance.
    • Perform other related duties as needed.

    Position Requirements:

    • Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
    • Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
    • BLS certification required.
    • 12 months of clinical nursing experience at a minimum, and an additional 6 months of experience in either chronic or acute dialysis.
    • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
    • Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.
    • Must possess exceptional clinical skills.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
    • Self-starter with excellent compassion, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with patients, co-workers, and supervisors is essential.
