    Position Title: Archery Counselor- Day Camp (Fairport, NY)

    Reports To: Program Director

    Department: Camp/Property/Outdoor

    Status: Exempt

    Location: Summer Day Camp – Piperwood/Windy Meadows

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    About Girl Scouts:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Archery Counselor at our summer day camp.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and implement the archery program at day camp.
    • Maintain a safe and well-equipped archery area.
    • Develop and enforce safety measures in accordance with GSUSA Activity Check Points, New York State Health Department, National Archery Association, and American Camp Association.
    • Schedule and instruct archery classes as needed.
    • Conduct inventories of supplies and communicate needs to the Program Director and Camp Director.
    • Assist in other areas of camp as needed.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to project a high level of professionalism at all times.
    • Commitment to diversity and ability to interact with diverse populations.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Prior experience working with children and peers in an outdoor environment is preferred.
