    Corporate Counsel (Real Estate & Commercial Contracts)

    South Seattle Area | Confidential Real Estate Development Company

    Salary Range: K DOE + full benefits

    Robert Half is partnering with a growing real estate development company in the South Seattle area that is seeking an early‑career Associate Corporate Counsel to join its in‑house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work directly with business leaders and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of real estate, commercial contract, and corporate matters.

    In this role, you will join a small, collaborative legal department and work closely with the General Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, and cross‑functional internal teams. The ideal candidate brings strong drafting and negotiation skills, a keen attention to detail, and an interest in supporting a dynamic, fast‑growing organization with significant work in the data center and commercial real estate sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with Sales leadership to manage a variety of leasing and commercial contracting activities, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, amendments, carrier agreements, licenses, and NDAs.
    • Support Senior Corporate Counsel on a range of real estate and corporate transactions, including acquisitions, easements, financings, dispositions, and related due diligence.
    • Collaborate with Property Management and Data Center Operations teams on reviewing vendor master service agreements and other commercial contracts.
    • Assist with general corporate governance matters and special projects impacting the broader organization.
    • Manage additional legal assignments as needed in a fast‑paced and evolving business environment.
    • Align with and represent the organization's core values in all internal and external interactions.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong critical thinking abilities and a high level of precision when working with complex legal documents.
    • Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders.
    • Ability to build trusted, professional relationships across departments and with outside counsel.
    • Capable of routine travel for site visits as needed.
    • Proficiency with technology and standard computer tools.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
    • Proof of passing a state bar exam and current good standing.
    • 1+ years of real estate or commercial transaction experience, preferably involving leasing or contract drafting.
    • In‑house legal experience is preferred but not required.
    • Demonstrated ability to review, draft, and negotiate leases and commercial contracts within a dynamic, evolving work environment.
