- Key contributor for the corporate risk management group, which oversees risk control and reporting for growing commodity marketing activities across the company.
- Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of an energy trading and risk management (ETRM) system, management and oversight of market data inputs, confirming and validating trade terms, and monitoring compliance with risk policies.
- Monitor the set-up of new market areas and pricing points, acting to balance trader preferences with the public company need for liquid and transparent pricing to the fullest extent possible
- Implement risk policy monitoring for new ETRM processes (daily reports, limit monitoring, etc.)
- Confirm trade details entered by trader in ETRM with executed trade confirmation to ensure risk position is accurately reflected and trade is ultimately settled correctly
- At least 5 years of experience in commodities risk management with a crude oil / liquids focus, including comfort with MTM, position limits, VaR, etc.
- Proficient in Allegro or similar ETRM, particularly from prior implementation experience
- Self-starter with strong initiative and drive to support new marketing activities and ETRM implementation of substantial existing business(es)
