    • Develop air permit applications and calculation methodologies.
    • Work with facility personnel on various environmental permitting and compliance projects for all environmental media, including SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) plans, wastewater, stormwater (NPDES), solid and hazardous waste management (RCRA), and chemical management (Tier II).
    • Develop, manage, and complete environmental compliance documentation and reports for multiple media including air, waste, stormwater, wastewater, waste, and Tier II.
    • Work closely with operations and plant teams to interpret, train on, and implement compliance requirements, as well as tracking systems, inspection policies, procedures, and schedules, and documentation requirements to ensure all plant facilities stay in compliance.
    • Communicate and build a corporate culture of compliance and safety.
    Education & Experience Required:
    • BS Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • At least five years successful professional experience in managing a comprehensive environmental program at the corporate level of a manufacturing company.
    • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
    • Experience researching and working with various resources (e.g., regulatory agencies, consulting firms, web-based information) applicable to facilities.
    • Ability to interact with government officials to represent the company or industry while explaining complex scientific data, reports or issues.
    • Ability to quickly advise, respond, develop and implement processes and policies related to new, unexpected or emerging environmental issues impacting the Company. This may include acting quickly to become a subject matter expert in the area of concern.
    • Ability to work independently on assigned projects, establish deadlines, and work with remote facilities to collect required information.
    • Experience working with landfills is a plus.
    • Some experience with safety programs (OSHA) and requirements is preferred.
