    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tax Accountant to join our team in Catonsville, MD. This is a temporary-to-hire position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and use tax, business tax returns, and property tax. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure compliance with tax regulations and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.

    Key Responsibilities:



    • Prepare and review sales and use tax returns for various jurisdictions.
    • File and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
    • Prepare and review business tax returns, including income and franchise tax returns.
    • Manage and file property tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
    • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates.
    • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as it relates to tax matters.
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax reporting.
    • Maintain organized records and documentation related to tax filings.
    • Provide tax planning and advisory support to other team members and departments.
    Qualifications:



    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    - 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on sales and use tax, business tax returns, and property tax.
    • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial systems.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Pay Details:
