    Position Summary:
    This position is in the Global Procurement organization, reporting to the Raw Materials Regional Sourcing Leader in Linden, NJ.

    The buyer in this role is responsible for all procurement activities related to the NA/LA Raw Materials agreements, supporting local and remotely located Category Leaders/Regional Sourcing Leaders with Buyer activities such as procurement plans, bidding, SAP reporting, data analysis and managing supplier and internal client relationships.

    Job Ownership:
    a) take ownership for planning and prioritizing work activities to manage a balance of short term tactics with long term commitments; b) monitor delivery progress against expectations; c) take initiatives to pursue cost reduction and / or service improvement opportunities; d) grow the scope of the role in a way that is well-aligned with global Raw Materials & Tolling team and / or functional objectives

    Planning & Executing Work:
    a) responsible for maintaining progress on multiple tasks; b) manage agreement acquisitions; c) plan for success and remove obstacles that are preventing progress

    Client & Supplier Relationship Management:
    a) build client & supplier relationships at the operational and tactical levels of interaction; b) make positive impact on the image suppliers have of Infineum based on relationship building, competency, and the delivery against expectations; c) collaborate with the Client and Supplier and leverage knowledge of the operation to negotiate terms and conditions, improve service level and follow-up on performance issues

    Commercial Skills:
    negotiate and administer new and existing agreements in an effective, accurate and timely manner

    Examples of Key Outputs/ Deliverables

    • Support Category Leaders and Regional Sourcing Leader to understand the marketplace drivers, negotiation leverage & positioning, and negotiate best available market pricing to meet needs for Raw Materials
    • Administer formal bid processes from RFx to contract execution and facilitate set up of payment mechanisms in accordance with the Procurement Control Processes
    • Work with Law and Finance to review/finalize agreement terms & conditions
    • Use historical and forecast numbers as well as market information to analyze operational and business data, to formulate procurement plan spend proposals and GARP endorsements
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams at multiple levels and communicate effectively to ensure all procurement requirements are met
    • Ensure consistency and compliance with Procurement Control Processes, Infineum business controls & ethics requirements
    Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
    Understanding of chemicals and manufacturing services marketplace drivers

    Business controls awareness

    A successful candidate is likely to have:
    B.S. degree in engineering or science (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry) preferred
    3 to 5 years experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
    Knowledge of basic chemical manufacturing unit operations
    Negotiation skills and general commercial awareness
    Familiarity with financial or other business controls systems
    Critical thinking and analytical skills, including ability to read & understand legal documents (e.g. agreement terms and conditions)
    Interpersonal skills to provide influence in cross functional teams
    Good verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to deliver against multiple targets, competing priorities and meet deadlines
    Ability to work without close supervision and with confidence while representing Procurement internally and Infineum externally
    Knowledge of IT systems such as SAP R/3, SharePoint and Business Warehouse

    Proficiency in tools such as:
    Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
