    Description
    Software Engineer

    We are working with one of Silicon Valley's most exciting software security development group who are looking to add a software engineer to their systems engineering team in the Bay Area.

    The team is currently involved in the development of next-generation workload and runtime security for AI, container and Linux technologies.

    This is a permanent role that is based in the Bay Area and will involve the candidate working on-site for the majority of the time.

    We are currently not able to offer visa sponsorship or transfers for this role.


    Responsibilities for the role:

    Craft the Control Plane:
    Design, develop, and maintain the software components that manage and orchestrate the system's functionality.

    Foster Seamless Integration:
    Collaborate across teams (product, technical leadership, user experience, field engineers, etc.) to ensure critical software elements work together flawlessly.

    Champion Code Reusability:
    Build code and libraries that can be easily reused throughout the project. Utilize existing libraries and services from third-party providers where applicable.

    Embrace Modern Environments:
    Write code that functions seamlessly within Linux environments, modern cloud platforms, and clustered systems. Integrate smoothly with third-party systems for orchestration, event management, configuration, policy enforcement, and security.


    Requirements for this role:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another relevant field of study
    3+ years experience in professional software development setting
    Strong development skills in Python and Go, any C/C++ experience on top of this is a plus
    Expertise working in cloud orchestration and deployment, AWS or GCP exposure is good
    Experience working with technologies such as Kubernetes or Openshift
    Experience and Ability to design and deploy systems for deployment on Linux
