    Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Curtiss-Wright in Brecksville, OH.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Design and analyze moderately complex mechanical systems, equipment, and products.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
    • Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
    • Complete verification of prototypes and validation of manufactured products.
    • Produce technical documentation of analysis and results to establish sustainable records.

    Your Challenge:

    • Modify existing and create new products to meet needs of customers applications and industry standards.
    • Design and conduct experiments, collect data, and interpret results, conduct analysis, and write analysis and test reports.
    • Capability to draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
    • Provide engineering support and training to the manufacturing areas to assure desired production yield and optimize efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
    • Assure documentation and analysis required to establish intellectual property rights.
    • File innovation disclosures and patent applications.
    • Develop expertise in assigned product lines and assure all marketing materials are technically accurate in representing product capabilities and expected performance.

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
    • 4+ years' experience in Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Analyst (ie. Minitab), Disciplined Problem Solving (DPS), 3-D CAD Systems.
    • Preferred experience with Computation modeling CFD/ FEA and Voice of Customer.
    • Ability to create and iterate designs, validate performance, and perform design reviews.
    • Project management experience.
    • Team player and effective communication.
