- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning, utilizing standardized tools and culturally appropriate methods.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, incorporating culturally sensitive approaches.
- Serve as a resource for school staff on issues related to multiculturalism, diversity, and bilingual education, offering training and consultation as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, share insights, and develop comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, counseling sessions, and intervention plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology, attending professional development workshops and conferences as appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and the broader school community, promoting a culture of inclusivity, equity, and respect.
- Illinois PEL certification.
- School Psych License in the state of Illinois.
- Possess Master's Degree in School Psychology.
- Experience working in educational settings with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to conduct assessments and provide counseling services in both languages.
