    SENIOR HARDWARE ENGINEER
    SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS

    The Senior Hardware Engineer is an experienced professional engineer with 7+ years of experience in high voltage and automotive electronics design.

    They have detailed knowledge of circuit design for high voltage applications (Batteries, Battery Management Systems, etc), power supplies, embedded systems design, analogue electronics and digital electronics.

    They have proven experience in working within hardware teams and automotive product development cycles.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

    High power (3-200kW) and/or High Voltage V):
    Circuit design, simulation, component selection,
    Design analysis, DFMEA, worst case analysis, etc.
    Technical problem solving; Design/Product validation, component, manufacturing, customer issues
    Participate in hardware design reviews throughout the design process
    Participate in engineering quote activities, including architecture definition, circuit design and BOM
    Develop power electronics technology and component usage roadmaps
    Engage in technical discussions with customers
    Mentor junior engineers
    To be a success in this role you must have:
    BSEE (or equivalent); MSEE preferred
    Minimum 7 years of automotive circuit design experience
    Experience in High Voltage circuit design (Inverter, On-Board Charger, DC-DC, BMS) (preferred)
    Ability to lead structured problem-solving activities
    Detailed knowledge of design for high voltage components
    Detailed understanding of component technologies and capabilities
    Strong understanding of automotive electronics manufacturing processes and methods
    Strong knowledge of Design for EMC, and Design for Manufacturing
    Strong knowledge of Automotive components / AEC-Q component requirements
    Detailed understanding of Automotive Product Development process (v-model)
