POSITION SUMMARYWide Effect is working alongside a renown government shipyard looking for a Engineering Supervisor to join their pipe design department

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate communication of issues and solutions throughout the company.

Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate resources to support department workload, including standard process updates and reviews, Engineering process enhancements, and improvements.

Interface with peer Engineering Managers to ensure proper Engineering support across the department.
Plan, direct, and coordinate resources and activities within the department.
Estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work and the work of resources.
Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments, including weekly meetings and reviews.

Prepare, check, and issue high-quality deliverables (Drawings, models, work packages, etc.).Interpret contract requirements and develop change documents to support project needs.

Define, track, and control subcontractor activities.
Abide by and enforce organizational policies and procedures.


Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline years in marine application design, or similar applications.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience with Engineering teams.
Experience with design software, including shipconstructor, AutoCad, or equivalent software.
Familiarity with Regulatory Body Requirements in the shipbuilding industry.
