    The Bond Account Manager is responsible for providing consistent, timely, and accurate account support services for assigned surety bond clients, soliciting new business on existing accounts, and supporting Producer-led new business efforts of our Risk Management and Transportation accounts. The Bond Account Manager processes all client bond requests and may take inbound requests from prospective clients.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepares various types of bonds, including but not limited to bid, contract, miscellaneous, and court bonds;
    • Prepares consents of surety, riders, bond-ability letters, and other documents requested by clients;
    • Prepares indemnity agreements and bond applications;
    • Coordinates receipt of underwriting information as requested by surety;
    • Confirms that bonds are issued in compliance with surety lines of authority;
    • Assists in obtaining surety approval of bonds outside of / in excess of surety lines of authority;
    • Receive and review financial information from the owners to obtain lines of credit
    • Review, document, and process all carrier requests
    • Bill renewals and give issuance orders to carriers
    • Research coverage questions from insured and producers and prepare any supporting documentation needed.
    • Handle claims for subs, suppliers, etc., and gather necessary information
    • Accurately manage client accounts and ensure all deadlines are met
    • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters complete and accurate information)
    • Supports Producer in developing new surety business opportunities for existing clients and prospects
    • Seek opportunities and take steps to increase knowledge of industry, regulatory requirements, tools, and resources available to assist clients
    • Answer questions from Producer and the service teams regarding accounts
    • Communicate with the clients and answer questions regarding provided policies and/or services
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and carriers, both internal and external
    • Meets with clients as needed or directed by Producer
    • Collection of fees, reconciliation, and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date
    • Travel or visit insurance companies and/or clients, when necessary
    • Continuously seek to identify opportunities & solutions that allow for a more effective and efficient delivery of a top-quality client experience
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for niche specialization
    • Coordinate & direct firm resources - Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing, Technology, etc.
    • Manage book of business with pro-active client service approach
    • Round out coverage for accounts in collaboration with the service team or independently, as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High School diploma or GED required, two or four-year degree preferred
    • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the surety bond field required
    • Commercial Surety license or Commercial Insurance license required or able to be obtained in first 30 days
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
    • Prior customer service experience required
    • Understand the different processes/forms associated with the varying coverages and insurers
    • Understand and maintain fiduciary responsibility for company, client, and producer
    • Experience working with EPIC Agency Management Software preferred
