    We are seeking an R&D Director in Electrical Engineering to oversee all aspects of electrical design, encompassing the integration of hardware and firmware into operational embedded systems.


    Your role involves enhancing and maintaining Electrical Engineering design methodologies and tools, ensuring the optimal system design of the entire product.

    As a integral member of the leadership team, you will share responsibilities with teams in embedded software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing process, and application software to develop complete products.


    Collaborating with other technical leaders, you will ensure consistency in system design methodology and actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of design methodologies.


    Responsibilities:
    Actively participate as a development team member on all projects.
    Ensure adherence to robust design methodologies.
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement in quality and consistency within the Electrical Engineering group.
    Provide mentoring, training, and leadership opportunities for potential technical leaders.
    Act as the technical manager on specific projects when necessary due to strategic importance or technical complexity.
    Serve as the lead system engineer for the project.
    Determine quarterly resource needs for the Electrical Engineering team.
    Support direct reports involved in active budget management on projects.
    Participate in the analysis of new technologies relevant to proposed future product development.
    Contribute new technologies or processes of future or current value.
    Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
    Maintain positive communications and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
    Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience at a supervisory/managerial level.
    Experience in embedded systems design, with a specialty in analog and RF design preferred.
    Proficiency with small signal and low noise measurement circuitry.
    Familiarity with Ultra Low power embedded systems.
    Advanced PCB processes and miniaturization experience.
    Experience with ASIC development, especially ASICs with Analog components.
    Ability to map task interdependencies, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and develop, monitor, and live within budgets.
    Skillful at delegation, follow-up, and team building.
    Strong leadership skills, including goal-setting and providing positive and constructive feedback.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
    Hands-on director: required to solve complex hardware and systems problems.
