    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Certification as State of Delaware School Psychologist
    • Must have successfully completed a supervised internship
    • Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional interventions and student accommodations
    • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral interventions and crisis management
    • Must be 21 years of age.
    • Satisfactory Child Protection Registry.
    • Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation.
    • Cooperative Attitude.
    • Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively
    • The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment.
    • Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Review referrals for individual evaluation to determine appropriate interventions; assess students when an individual evaluation is deemed appropriate; ensure that information is disseminated to appropriate persons.
    • Attendance at school, student, and instructional meetings as required
    • Confer and collaborate with parents and all school staff to ensure students' academic and behavioral progress
    • Completes Functional Behavioral Assessments and develops Behavioral Support Plans
    • Administers, interprets and explains standardized cognitive, achievement, developmental and behavioral evaluation results with all participants during eligibility IEP meetings
    • Actively participates in eligibility and IEP meetings and delivers results in a family-friendly manner
    • Reviews, interprets, and explains evaluation results received from other school districts or evaluators outside the district to determine eligibility for services and/or to determine if additional assessments are needed for eligibility determination
    • Schedule time in classrooms for direct observation and intervention with students
    • Supports the school's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) including consultation with the PST members in reviewing student response to interventions
    • Serves as a member of the Pupil Support Team
    • Prepares comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation reports. ESR documents and related compliance documents in accordance with federal, state, and DE Department of Education guidelines
    • Observe all federal, state and district timelines for evaluation and submission of evaluation reports
    • Collect, monitor, graph, analyze and report student date as part of the FBA process
    • Participate with Child Find and Kindergarten screening procedures within the district, Headstart and for students who are parentally privately placed
    • Consult with personnel from outside agencies when needed
    • Other duties as assigned
    SALARY: As per State and Local Salary Schedules for FY25 based upon experience and educational degree
