    Responsibilities
    This role involves:
  • Performing fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools.
  • Identifying and diagnosing insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas.
  • Communicating with clients regarding diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services.
  • Monitoring plant health quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicating progress to customers and supervisors.
  • Driving, operating, maintaining, and properly utilizing equipment (truck and sprayer).

    • Requirements
    To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A love for the outdoors.
  • A background in forestry, horticulture, or landscaping (preferable).
  • Turf, weed, tree, and shrub identification, pathology, and knowledge of turf or tree physiology (preferable).
  • The ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire.
  • The ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates (if required by state law, preferable).
