    Position Summary:
    The Corporate Accounting Intern will utilize strong accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills to support the Martin Brower global corporate finance team. This role will support a variety of day-to-day accounting and reporting activities and contribute to the monthly general ledger close process. Additionally, this role will support the global corporate finance team with various projects and initiatives as needed.
    Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
    Prepare and book journal entries.
    Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
    Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
    Roll forward key accounting schedules and reports.
    Help build and maintain process documentation.
    Help identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes & reporting.
    Other projects or duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Required Skills and Experience:
    High School Diploma or GED and 0-1+ years of general work experience.
    Strong analytical skills with an ability to focus on the details.
    Strong interpersonal and exceptional problem-solving skills.
    Proficient in the use of Excel.
    Experience with other Microsoft applications (Access, Outlook, Word).
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Strong organizational and time management skills.
    Possess a professional demeanor.
    Ability to work independently/self-managed and in a team environment.
    Travel - As necessary, minimal.
    This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

    Preferred Skills and Experience: Working toward a bachelors degree in Accounting. 0-1+ years of experience working in Accounting. Knowledge of JD Edwards 9.2 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Knowledge of BlackLine, Microsoft PowerBi. Experience working in distribution industry.
