    Position Overview:


    The role reports to the Divisional President and Chief People Officer and provides operational HR support to the ValvTechnologies Division.

    The primary focus of the role is to provide a professional HR service and solutions which will improve current and future operational performance of the Division.

    The role supports the delivery of the operational plans and implementation of the Group People Strategy and therefore has a mix of business partner and project-based activities to develop the Group wide HR offering.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • HR Manager Partner to the VT President
    • To deliver the Group People Strategy and VT operational plans.
    • Lead Divisional projects from a HR perspective to ensure efficiency.
    • Meet key stakeholders to discuss people challenges.
    • Provide guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.
    • Bring people expertise and develop solutions to help the Division to deliver its strategy.
    • Act as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches.
    • Coaching and providing feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.
    • Develops and maintains departmental budget.
    • Lead on the Division's employee engagement strategy, ensuring action plans are delivered as a result of the employee survey.
    • Ensure the successful implementation of performance management, that meaningful training needs are captured and acted upon to develop and retain talent across the Division.
    • Work to deliver the Group talent ID and succession plan.
    • Improve organizational effectiveness and strengthen the talent pipeline by conducting talent reviews and succession planning discussions.
    • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees of all backgrounds feel included, and their contributions are valued.
    • Ensure all HR systems are implemented and are working effectively across the Division i.e., Cezanne, the ATR and ATS etc.
    • Lead the Division's [work partnership forum] from a HR perspective.
    • Deal with any complex ER cases and any trade union related matters.
    • Ensure monthly dashboard reporting as per the Group templates required by the Board.
    • With the Head of ESG and CPO drive ESG initiatives to deliver on annual KPI's across the Division.
    • Work with the Group HR Analyst to ensure implementation and delivery of all operational and corporate policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Support the successful delivery of the annual pay and bonus review process.
    • Support HR projects which support the delivery of the Seven Pillars of our Group People Strategy, including but not limited to HR Technology, Analytics and Talent Processes.
    • Responsible for transforming company values into common practices at all levels of the organization.
    • Maintains current knowledge of benefit related rules and regulations including ERISA, HIPPA, ACA, COBRA, ADA, etc. and fulfills compliance and reporting requirements.
    • Manage the 401k scheme and other employee benefits.
    • Administer self-funded medical, dental, vision, and disability plans; in addition to FMLA procedures.
    • Ensure all statutory filings are made to deadline, meeting all mandatory and good practice guidelines.
    • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll system.
    • Strong functional understanding of HR.
    • Experience of international HR would be advantageous.
    • Practical and pragmatic in the delivery of HR.
    • Strong business acumen and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Experience in supporting the development of other team members.
    • Well organized with strong analytical skills.

    • Ability to read analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Core Qualifications:

    • University Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent HR Experience
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
    • CBP certification highly preferred. In depth knowledge of Industry trends, employment law, legislation, and compliance, including compliance with federal and state legislation.
    • Good knowledge of SEC Benefits, to include Work/Life Programs.
    • Experience with ERISA Reporting forms.
    • 20+ years related experience and/or training within a HR leadership position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
