    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    In this role you will provide direct patient care for diverse patient population within multiple Medicine practices, working with faculty physicians, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner fellows, residents, medical students, nursing staff, patient services staff and ancillary personnel.

    You will report directly to the RN Supervisor and/or Clinic Manager and assist with day to day patient care, inbasket messages, incoming/outgoing phone interactions, relaying physician instructions, medication prior aurthorizaion, topical numbing, providing patient instructions and/or education, procedure assistance (biopsies, excisions, Mohs, and Cosmetic procedures).

    Ability to float within Dermatology locations.


    Salary Range:
    $ $44.33/ Hourly

    Required:

    • Possess active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
    • Possession of active CPR BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
    • Knowledge of dermatologic terminology and disease condition sufficient to communicate treatment status with patients and their families, medical faculty and staff, and other health professionals.
    • Ability to keep a running inventory
    • Knowledge of UCLA forms, patient admissions, etc.
    • Knowledge of surgical dressing applications.
    • Knowledge of lasers
    • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
    • Knowledge of surgical instruments
    • Knowledge of operating and maintaining standard surgical medical equipment
    • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction
    • Skill in performing under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions
    • Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
    • Skill in analyzing information, problem situations, practices or procedures to define the problem or objective and formulate logical and objective conclusions.

    • Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence such as brief transmittal memoranda
