We have an opportunity to lead a Value Stream in the Propulsion business in Fairfield California This role reports to the Propulsion Value Stream Director and is responsible for multiple mid-sized programs serving commercial and military customers In this role you will lead a team of Program Managers and are accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion includes pursuit order capture design development produce deliver service support long-term strategic business plans You will be assigned as chair of Program Management Team PMT accountable managing contract lifecycle cost schedule performance on-time delivery company programs subsystems major programs This role serves face organization clients customers You will have profit Loss P L responsibility specified value stream group value streams within business segment portfolio
Responsibilities
- Lead team Program Managers ensure execution cost schedule scope portfolio programs ranging size duration design development
- Ensure Program Management Team PMT effective executing development milestones deliverables Primary participant developing Strategic Operating Plan Annual Operating Plan Ensure pursuit activity consistent overall Strategic Plan supports objectives Participates negotiation contracts contractual changes coordinating preparation proposals proposals work statements operational budgets specifications financial conditions protect organizations interests Maintains presents plans progress reports business aspects program internally externally customer Identifies addresses program problems recommends resolutions successful completion Identifies establishes metrics measures recurring non-recurring milestones Responsible recruitment retention training Continuous Improvement mentality prevalent organization actively leading participating Lean activities drive quality efficiency More details can be found below Responsibilities include but not limited to Lead team managers execute management tasks including planning budgeting staffing personnel administration operations finance global capability manage projects processes define measure track report continuous improvement recommendations staff with required skills competencies quality safety environment regulations compliance procurement parts services suppliers manufacturing test inspection product validation certification process engineering re-engineering systems solutions integration change management configuration control project goals outcomes accountability reporting traceability exports imports logistics shipping receiving inventory supply chain risk mitigation cybersecurity software data analytics monitoring reporting task force action committee leadership visibility transparency governance oversight organizational structural permanent temporary internal external contractors partners vendors employees stakeholders shareholders investors customers end-users.
