Description
Jr. Maintenance TechnicianLocation:
Kennesaw, GA
Pay Rate:
$24.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Role Overview:
Provide technical support and conduct preventative maintenance to uphold equipment quality standards.
Inspect equipment visually and troubleshoot issues during production and changeover processes.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform tasks outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
Inspect equipment parts visually for damage and cleanliness, and lubricate as necessary.
Assist in dismantling defective machines and installing new or repaired parts.
Provide encapsulation equipment training to machine operators.
Schedule and complete preventative maintenance tasks according to plan.
Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Production Planning to schedule maintenance work efficiently.
Prioritize workload to minimize production downtime.
Operate and maintain various equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Adhere to company rules and safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Education and Experience
Minimum:
High School diploma or GED with 2 to 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Technical degree or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.
Effective time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on quality.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and adjusting assigned equipment.
Must be able to wear a respirator if required.
Other physical demands include standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and hearing.
