    Job Description and Duties

    Positions at the Water Boards may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position.

    The Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board is looking for an Environmental Scientist to join the Agriculture and Cannabis Section. The role is situated at 3737 Main Street, Suite 500, Riverside – right at the heart of downtown, within walking distance to the Fox Performing Arts Center, restaurants, museums, the historic Mission Inn, and just a few blocks from the Metrolink station.     • This position of Environmental Scientist involves coordinating the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board's Non-Point Source (NPS) programs and overseeing the implementation of the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program.
    • Essential personal qualifications required include integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to collaborate effectively with others, and proficient performance of assigned duties.

    Salary information – Appointment may be at the entrance rate as per CalHR salary rules based on the classification. Placement in classes with alternate ranges is determined by education/experience levels.
