    About the Job:
    Professor Mihai Marasteanu is seeking a post-doctoral associate who will take the lead on a variety of research projects and tasks. This person will interact with, lead, and assist graduate and undergraduate students in the research group.

    90% Research

    • Conduct research related to specific externally funded projects, including setting up experiments, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting challenges, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students on the project, as needed.
    • Individually and collaboratively write reports for sponsors and papers to submit to refereed journals.

    10% Lab Citizen

    • Attend laboratory meetings with the research group and one-on-one meetings with Professor Marasteanu, as required.
    • Attend relevant lectures and training sessions.
    • Maintain the highest safety standards that adhere to University policy.
    • Assist other laboratory/community members, as needed.

    Qualifications



    Required Qualifications:

    • PhD in Civil Engineering

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Research experience in advanced asphalt materials characterization and performance evaluation, pavement sustainability and material circularity, machine learning and data mining
    • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality publications
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
