- A minimum of three years clinical nursing experience as an RN, previous school nurse experience preferred
- Valid certification in CPR/AED
- Clean Criminal Background Check, Child Protection Registry and TB Clearance required prior to employment
- Coordinate the delivery of health and wellness services to students, including annual screenings
- Adhere to state guidelines for nursing to ensure the health and wellness of students and staff
- Conduct daily nursing procedures including, but not limited to, offering medical care, dispensing medications and documenting office visits
- Communicate with parents, physicians, staff and community as necessary to ensure student and staff wellness
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical cases following state and federal laws
- Accompany students with medical needs requiring nursing support on field trips
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students
- Participate in IEP meetings as required
- Keep accurate student health records
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development classes as necessary
- Perform other duties as requested by administration to meet the needs of the students
